Festival of Horwich

The Festival of Horwich returns to Horwich RMI Cricket Club for a huge day of free entertainment for the whole community. Taking place on Sunday 30 August, the festival brings together live music and entertainment, family activities, inflatables, a dog show, Strongman competition, an exotic animal petting zoo, LEGO building activities and a wide range of stalls from local businesses and community organisations. Running from 12pm until 10pm, it’s a full day of entertainment for all ages and a chance to celebrate the people, organisations and businesses that make Horwich such a vibrant community. Festival of Blackrod 2026

The Festival of Blackrod returns for 2026 — live music, street food, children's activities, community stalls, fairground rides and games. In 2025 the festival drew around 4,400 attendees. Formally approved in the February 2026 Town Council minutes and listed on the 2026–2027 significant dates schedule. Free to attend.

Festival of Blackrod

The Festival of Blackrod returns for 2026, bringing a full day of free family entertainment to Blackrod Cricket Club. Taking place on Saturday 12 September, the festival celebrates the Blackrod community with live music, family activities, inflatables, a dog show, market stalls, food and drink, and a host of local businesses, groups and organisations getting involved throughout the day. It’s one of Blackrod’s biggest community events of the year, offering something for all ages and a great opportunity to enjoy a day out while supporting the people, organisations and businesses that make Blackrod special.
